Obituary of James M. Brower

James M. Brower, age 73, of Wallingford, PA, died Thursday, April 4, 2013. Mr. Brower was born in Oil City, PA, to the late George and Jean (McKee) Brower. Mr. Brower was a graduate of Chester High School and the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service. Mr. Brower was a US Marine Corps Veteran and a proud member of the Marine Corps League. He was a longtime Delaware County Funeral Director, who joined his father at the Brower Funeral Home, which was then located at 1600 Edgmont Ave in Chester, PA. A short time after George Brower's retirement, the funeral home was relocated to Wallingford, PA. Jim was an active member of the Delaware County Funeral Directors Association, the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors Association, and also the Selected Independent Funeral Homes. Jim was a member of the Chester Lodge #236 F&AM, the LuLu Shrine Temple and Swarthmore Rotary. An avid boater, Mr. Brower was a member of the Riverside Yacht Club.
