Family does not simply consist of blood relations, but is made up of those people who come into your life and bring light and laughter with them. Kumpy was one of these people to me. My memories of my childhood are filled with her. I can hear her in my head...talking to the cats while spoiling them with tuna...injecting her wit and humor into any situation...telling us kids silly little jokes...and always the voice of reason. She was made up of all of the best qualities in life. I will always remember her with warmth and affection, and I am thankful that I was privileged to know her and think of her as my family.
