Obituary of Anna K. High

Anna "Ann" Kathryn (nee Eames) High, 85, of Middletown Twp., PA, and formerly of Brookhaven, PA, died Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Lima Estates. Ms. High was born and raised in York, PA . She resided in Northeast Philadelphia, PA, moving to Brookhaven, PA, where she resided for over 20 years. Ann was a graduate of William Penn Senior High School, York, PA, Class of 1945, Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, Illinois, Class of 1951 and Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing, Philadelphia, PA. She worked with Raytheon Engineers and Constructors, Inc. for 27 years, until her retirement. Ann also was employed with Bible Club Movement, Inc., Upper Darby, PA, for 12 years. Mrs. High was a member of Lima United Methodist Church. She also was a member of Chichester AARP, Chapter #3614, Brandywine Senior Center, Claymont, DE, and a Charter member of Rocky Run YMCA from May 2001 - May 2002. Ann was a former member of Valley Voices. She was a collector of bears since 1951 and her collection numbered in the hundreds. She was a creative person, who enjoyed many kinds of crafts and participated in craft shows. She loved to crochet and donated afghans to Veterans, Nursing Homes and Churches.
