Obituary of Florence B. Gahres

Florence B. (nee Debold) Gahres, 88, of Aston, PA, died Friday, September 28, 2012 at home. Mrs. Gahres had resided in Aston, PA for 50 years. She was employed as a Secretary with Fair Acres for 10 years until her retirement in 1990. Previously, she was employed as a Secretary with American Visco, Marcus Hook, PA and during World War II with Baldwin Locomotive, Eddystone, PA . Florence was a member of The Church of St Joseph, Aston, PA. She also was an active member of the Aston Lioness and Aston Senior Citizens. Florence enjoyed summers on her porch, traveling with the Lioness Club and caring for her dog. She loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandson, Jayden. Florence was the wife of the late Charles Gahres who died in 1994. SURVIVORS Son: Larry A. (Kathleen) Gahres of Glen Mills, PA Daughter: Linda (Daryl) Lobach of Garnet Valley, PA Granddaughter: Kimberly who cared for her Grandson: Matthew Great-Grandson: Jayden.
