Obituary of William A. Erb

William A. Erb, Jr., 85, of Glen Riddle, PA died Sunday, August 5, 2012. Mr. Erb was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Newport, KY where he attended Newport Catholic High School and Xavier University. He moved to Glen Riddle 50 years ago. Bill worked for General Electric as an Inventory Control Specialist. In retirement, he worked for H and R Block. After serving in the Army of Occupation in Germany and the Army Reserves, he rose to the rank of Lt. Colonel in the Air National Guard. He was an Air Force ROTC Admissions Liaison Officer for 20 years. He was a member of American Legion Post 93. In Middletown Twp., Delaware County, Bill was a two term tax collector, treasurer for the Public Library and a member of the Parks and Recreation Committee. He was a member of St Francis deSales Catholic Church, Lenni, PA. He enjoyed gardening. Bill was the son of the late William A. and Ida Leopold Erb.
