Tommy was a champ in all he did throughout high school when we all knew him best; and evidently throughout his military and business life after. What a great life story and legacy.
Played 150 lb football with Tommy. He was a leader; dependable player who always carried out his blocking assignments well; all-around capable guy. The world needs more like him.
My thoughts and prayers are with Tommy's family. He will truly be missed. He was a leader in high school and continued to be that same leader throughout his career.
God bless
Our condolences to the family of Tommy Payne. We both graduated from high school with Tommy and have fond remembrances. We are sad that we had lost contact with him over the past few years. We are sorry to hear of his passing.
Deepest sympathies to Tommy's family from a high school classmate; he started an exceptional life path early on; it was inspiring to learn of the many things he accomplished throughout his life. I know he will be missed for a long, long time, but he has left a beautiful legacy.
Sincerely,
Pam Robinson Mittleman
I attended Young High School and graduated with Tommy in 1960- So sad to hear about him-He was a leader in high school and also in life -May God comfort family and friends
I worked with Tom at IBM and Lockheed Martin; he was a capable leader as well as a fun person to know. We also did some hunting together, and he could always stand up to the adverse weather conditions better than anyone else. Lived a rich full life, left many good memories and the world a better place.
