Obituary of George A. Faix

George A. Faix, age 97, of Middletown Twp., PA, died Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Taylor Hospice House of Ridley Park, PA. Mr. Faix was born April 3, 1915 in Lester, PA. He was the son of the late John and Anna Faix. Mr. Faix had been a resident of Lester, PA, and Drexel Hill, PA., before building his own home in Middletown Twp. PA A graduate of Ridley Park High School, Mr. Faix with his brother developed a successful construction business Faix Brothers, Inc. Later, he became a union carpenter, until his retirement. George was an accomplished builder, craftsman, gardener and beekeeper. His honey regularly won at the Goshen Fair. He loved; plants, trees, birds, crabbing and fishing. He was the husband of the late Evelyn Ache Faix who died in 2006. Survivors: 2 Daughters: Arlene (Ed) Burke and Jacqueline (Bob) Sabath Brother: Charles Faix Sister: Evelyn Amwake Grandchildren: Chris (Sybille) Burke, Andy Burke, Kate Burke Blackburn, Shannon Burke, Peter (Zsofia) Sabath, Kathryn (Josue) Blanco Sabath Also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
