Obituary of Arlene F. Miner
Arlene Frances (Roth) Miner, age 85, of Brookhaven, PA, formerly of Lester, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 11, 2024. Some of Arlene's fondest memories were her years at Ridley Park High School, where she was a Class of 1957 graduate. After graduation, she worked as a secretary at Westinghouse, where she also met her beloved husband Donald. Always a stylish woman, Mrs. Miner worked at Tancreed’s Specialty Shop for 30 years.
Arlene was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, where she was active in the women's ministry for many years. Arlene enjoyed the beach; in particular she loved her many years visiting, socializing and shopping in Avalon, NJ. Her visits to Florida and the new friends she made there were also very special to her. She was always planting and puttering in her yard, intending to keep it looking beautiful for every season and holiday.
Most importantly, Arlene was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who was so very proud of her five daughters, son-in-laws, and 16 grandchildren.
Arlene was the daughter of the late Christian G. Roth and Hannah Bothner Roth; Wife of the late Donald E. Miner; Sister of the late Christian G. Roth, III, and the late Elaine Dodson.
Mrs Miner is survived by her daughters: Lisa Arcabascio (Shrewsbury, MA) and her husband Joseph, Donna Zarycranski (Swedesboro, NJ) and her husband William, Leslie Montgomery (Garnet Valley, PA) and her husband Terence, Christa Pellegrini (West Chester, PA) and her husband Joseph, Susan Jobrey (Exton, PA) and her husband Michael.
She is also survived by her grandchildren; Nicholas (Emma), Benjamin and Hannah Arcabascio, Stephen and William Zarycranski, Matthew, Timothy, Ryan (Nicole) Aidan and Mikayla Montgomery, Jessica, Olivia and Allison Pellegrini, Michael, Lexie and Abby Jobrey, and many nieces and nephews. Arlene is also survived by her best friend since first grade, Loretta Robinson Stade, whom she has never lost contact with.
