Obituary of Edward A. McGrenaghan

Edward A. McGrenaghan, age 68, of Aston, PA, formerly of Collingdale, PA, died on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.  Ed was a graduate of Collindale High School.

Ed was employed as the Dock Supervisor at Wanamaker’s for many years.  In more recent years, he worked in the garden centers at Home Depot and Wedgewood Gardens. 

Mr. McGrenaghan was a Parishioner of BVM Church, Darby, PA. He was a volunteer Fireman with Collingdale Fire Company #2.

Ed enjoyed gardening at home as well as time with family and friends. He was an animal lover, caring for cats and dogs of his own.  Pure joy came from babysitting his beloved grandchildren.  He will be dearly missed.

Son of the late Peter and Sheila (Harkin) McGrenaghan; brother of the late John McGrenaghan

Wife of 32 years: Linda (Benson) McGrenaghan

Step-Daughter: Cindy (Kevin) Mariotti

Step-Sons:  Bill (Beth McGinn) Hansel, III, and Michael Hansel

Grandchildren: Bray (Bridget), John, Nathan, Owen, Alyssa, Madelyn, Cassandra

Great-Grandchildren: Leona and Blaire

Brother: Peter (Mary) McGrenaghan, Patrick (Diane) McGrenaghan

Also survived by Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation: Saturday, January 6^th from 1:30-2:15PM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) &Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Service: Saturday, January 6^th at 2:30PM at the funeral home.

Interment: Private.
