Aurora was my mom's best friend and countless times Aurora made that short walk for an afternoon chat (though truth be told, and as was her nature, Aurora did most of the listening) and she even got more excited when Aurora brought her homemade treats.
Aurora was also kind enough to act as reference for me when I was trying to adopt a dog and graciously answered the numerous calls from shelters and rescues and she was among the first in the neighborhood to meet Archie.
I know she had a fondness for glazed donuts and now she will have the best that heaven can provide!
Don't cry for who we have lost, but smile for who we have had......
I “borrowed” a beautiful brocade ivory wedding dress handmade by my Tia Tonia for her daughter Aurora on my wedding day on December 29,1976. My cousin and I were the exact size. The dress fit perfectly -no alterations needed! And it was returned with much love and thankfulness from a struggling couple -a medical student and new RN. Our wedding memories remain a treasure!❤️
Aurora was a great friend. I will miss her texting me and saying " I tried a new recipe for you for dinner" . We shared many birthdays and holiday dinners. I will miss talking to her every week. My heart is broken. I will miss her forever. Kathy Sponga
My favorite memory of Aurora was her asking when the figs will be ready. She would make her famous Fig Newtons. I will miss our get togethers with a meal she would experiment with. My heart is broken over the loss of a great friend.
