Obituary of Samuel W. Cole Jr.

August 10, 1932 - January 27, 2020 Samuel (Will) was born in Chester, PA, attended Ridley Twp High School, PMC Military College , served in the Korean War as a Sargent in US Army 501st Div. As an Injection molding specialist in plastics, Sam worked for Fibre Metal for many years and Johnson Controls. Through the Johnson Control years the job located them to Brown County, Indiana, then to Erie, Pa. Retiring in 1999 to Lewes, DE. Many of you may know how Sam loved working in his workshop, fishing, going out on his Pontoon boat and enjoying navigating his way through the Delaware Bay. We always remember him chopping wood, chainsawing trees down, and building any kind of fire, and yard work! When his family was younger, He and Velma took their family camping, canoeing the Allagash River in ME, house boating on the Chesapeake, or teaching us all how to pan for gold in the creeks of Indiana. Sam was famous for his amazing fish fries alfresco. Velma's special batter dip and Sam's fish fillets were a special combo and enjoyed by many. Sam also enjoyed his blueberry bushes and tended them expertly. Finding satisfaction in picking big bowlfuls each day of the growing season. He was always kind and a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and Uncle.
